“My Name” Train
Chug Chug Chug! Have you heard the story of Chuggy the steam engine‘s journey up the mountain?
Isn’t it sweet how he wishes everyone “Night Night, Lights out”! Now, Let’s make a train!!! This time with our name on it.
Cut small pieces of color paper. Let it be equal to the number of alphabets in your name.
Draw an engine on an colored paper.
Shall we draw few wheels now? Mark wheels on each of the strips.
Write one alphabet of your name on each paper.
Write “My name is” on the engine as shown and place it on top.
Jumble up the strips. And now, let the child arrange the alphabets as per the spelling his/her name.
If the child has just started learning how to spell his/her name, write the name on a paper and let the child match each letter and place it according to his spelling.
